Redfish Rocks Interpretive Signs Installed

New interpretive signs have been installed for the Redfish Rocks Marine Reserve at Orford Head, Battle Rock and Rocky Point!

Local Port Orford Port Commissioner and graduate researcher Tom Calvanese poses in front of the new signs

Despite the delays in getting this project complete, it marks a significant step in creating consistent interpretive materials for marine reserve sites throughout the state. If you live in Curry County or are just traveling through the area, check out the new signs and let us know what you think! This project would not be possible without the support and collaboration of community members and agency personnel who came together through the Redfish Rocks Community Team.

A big thanks to Greg Ryder of OPRD, Stacy Galleher of ODFW Marine Resource Program, Tyson Rasor of the Redfish Rocks Community Team and all of the individuals that participated through the Outreach and Education Working Group.
